آزمون OET

آزمون  OET  از آزمون های  بین المللی می باشد که مخصوص پزشکان، دندان پزشکان و پرستاران می باشد. این امتحان توسط پروفسور Tim Mcnamara در دانشگاه ملبورن استرالیا طراحی شده وبعد در سال 2018 آپدیت شده و  زمان این امتحان حدودا  165 دقیقه که معادل دو ساعت و ۴۵ دقیقه است .چهار مهارت زبان انگلیسی مورد ارزیابی قرار می گیرند. امتحان شامل  ۴۲سوال لیسنینگ، ۴۲  سوال ریدینگ، دو  speaking tasks و یک تسک رایتینگ است .

 مدت زمان بخش لیسنینگ ۴۰ دقیقه می باشد. مدت زمان بخش ریدینگ و رایتینگ به ترتیب ۶۰ دقیقه و ۴۵ دقیقه می باشد و مدت زمان بخش مهارت اسپیکینگ ۲۰ دقیقه می باشد. نمره آزمون  از صفر تا  ۵۰۰  است.

جزییات آزمون :

بخش اسپیکینگ آزمون :

در ابتدای مهارت اسپیکینگ فرد  ممتحن  از شما در رابطه با خودتان و حرفه تان چند سوال به عنوان warm-up  می پرسد و سپس شروع به اجرای قسمت اصلی امتحان خواهد کرد

به شما اجازه می دهد در عرض سه دقیقه آماده شوید و سپس 5 دقیقه در کل صحبت خواهید کرد. در امتحان اسپیکینگ فرد امتحان گیرنده نقش بیمار را بازی می کند و شما نقش دکتر را به عهده دارد.

 در امتحان اسپکینگ می توانید وقتی کارت role-play  اول به شما داده آن را پیش خودتان نگه دارید و حتی در زمان آماده سازی می توانید رو ی آن کارت نت برداری کنید. برای کارت role-play دوم هم روند به همین شکل است  .

در صورتیکه در مورد محتویات کارت  سوالی داشتید می توانید در طول زمان اماده سازی بپرسید. اطلاعات  دو تا کارت role-plays بر اساس رشته و حرفه شما می باشد. لازم به ذکر است که کل امتحان اسپیکینگ ضبط می شود و فایل ضبط شده مورد ارزیابی قرار خواهد گرفت .

فایل اسپیکینگ توسط دو فرد  به طور مستقل ارزیابی می شوند و هیچکدام از سنجشگرها از نمره دیگری اطلاع ندارند. شایان ذکر است که فردی که درروز امتحان اسپیکینگ با شما صحبت می کند در نمره اسپیکینگ شما هیچ دخالتی ندارد در حقیقت دو نفر دیگر فایل اسپیکینگ شما رو ارزیابی می کنند.

لازم به ذکر است که در امتحان OET هدف چک کردن مهارتهای انگلیسی شما است  نه بررسی دانش حرفه ای شما. اسپیکینگ OET  براساس 9 معیار نمره داده خواهد شد .

معیارها:

1)- Intelligibility: The impact of your pronunciation, intonation and accent on how clearly your listener can hear and understand what you’re saying

2)- Fluency: The impact of the speed and smoothness of your speech on your listener’s understanding

3)- Appropriateness of Language: The impact of your language, tone and professionalism on your listener’s understanding and comfort

4)- Resources of Grammar and Expression: The impact of your level of grammatical accuracy and vocabulary choices on your listener’s understanding.

Clinical Communication Criteria:

5)- Relationship-building: The impact of your choice of opening to the conversation and demonstration of empathy and respect on your listener’s comfort

6)- Understanding and incorporating the patient’s perspective: The impact of how fully you involve the patient in the conversation on your listener’s understanding and comfort

7)- Providing structure: The impact of how you organise the information you provide and introduce new topics for discussion on your listener’s understanding

8)- Information-gathering: The impact of the type of questions you ask and how you listen to the responses on your listener’s understanding

9)- Information-giving: The impact of how you provide information and check this information is being understood on your listener’s comfort and understanding.

بخش رایتینگ آزمون :

رایتینگ هر فردی بر اساس حرفه او به عنوان مثال پرستاری یا دندان پزشکی طراحی می شود. در تسک رایتینگ OET  باید یک نامه که معمولا نامه referral می باشد نوشته شود البته گاهی اوقات باید نامه های Transfer & discharge نوشته شوند. گاهی اوقات هم نامه، پاسخ به یک شکایت یا نارضایتی است.

لازم به ذکر است که علاوه بر صورت رایتینگ یکسری case notes و documentations در اختیار فردی که قرار است نامه را بنویسد قرار داده می شود.

باید از این اطلاعات در بدنه نامه حتما استفاده شود. تسک رایتینگ توسط دو تا OET Assessors  به طور مستقل ارزیابی می شوند و هیچکدام از assessor ها از نمره دیگری اطلاع ندارند.  تسک رایتینگ OET بر اساس 6 معیار ارزیابی خواهد شد .

1)- Purpose (Whether the purpose of the letter is immediately apparent to the reader and sufficiently expanded in the course of the letter)

2)- Content (Whether all the necessary information is included and accurate for the reader)

3)- Conciseness & Clarity (Whether unnecessary information is omitted so that the letter is an effective summary for the reader)

4)- Genre & Style (Whether the register, tone and use of abbreviations are appropriate for the reader)

5)- Organisation & Layout (Whether the letter is Organised and well laid out for the reader)

6)- Language (Whether the accuracy of the grammar, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation communicates the necessary information to the reader)

 بخش ریدینگ امتحان :

در مجموع 42 سوال وجود دارد که باید در زمان 60 دقیقه پاسخ داده شود.

بخش ریدینگ OET  شامل سه بخش  می باشد.

Part A – expeditious reading task (15 minutes)

Part A assesses your ability to locate specific information from four short texts in a quick and efficient manner. The four short texts relate to a single healthcare topic, and you must answer 20 questions in the allocated time period. The 20 questions consist of matching, sentence completion and short answer questions.

Part B and Part C – careful reading tasks (45 minutes)

Part B assesses your ability to identify the detail, gist or main point of six short texts sourced from the healthcare workplace (100-150 words each). The texts might consist of extracts from policy documents, hospital guidelines, manuals or internal communications, such as emails or memos. For each text, there is one three-option multiple-choice question.

Part C assesses your ability to identify detailed meaning and opinion in two texts on topics of interest to healthcare professionals (800 words each). For each text, you must answer eight four-option multiple choice questions.

باید توجه داشت که assessors ها که مهارت ریدینگ شما را ارزیابی و نمره می دهند  شایسته و دارای صلاحیت و با تجربه هستند و جواب هایی که احیانا مبهم هستند به assessors های ارشد برای تعیین وضعیت ارجاع داده خواهند شد .

بخش لیسنینگ آزمون :

سه پارت دارد که جمعا شامل ۴۲  سوال می باشد و در مجموع طول فایل  و زمان پازهایی که به شما داده می شود تا پاسخ هایتان را بنویسید ۴۰ دقیقه است . لازم به ذکر است که فایل لیسنینگ فقط یکبار پخش می شود.

سه بخش لیسنینگ آزمون بدین شرح است :

Part A – consultation extracts (about 5 minutes each)

Part A assesses your ability to identify specific information during a consultation. You will listen to two recorded health professional-patient consultations and you will complete the health professional’s notes using the information you hear. Note: the health professionals may be any one of the 12 professions who can take OET.

Part B – short workplace extracts (about 1 minute each)

Part B assesses your ability to identify the detail, gist, opinion or purpose of short extracts from the healthcare workplace. You will listen to six recorded extracts (e.g. team briefings, handovers, or health professional-patient dialogues) and you will answer one multiple-choice question for each extract.

Part C – presentation extracts (about 5 minutes each)

Part C assesses your ability to follow a recorded presentation or interview on a range of accessible healthcare topics. You will listen to two different extracts and you will answer six multiple-choice questions for each extract.
